Liebherr Undercarriage Group

The undercarriage system of Liebherr crawler machines is a critical assembly responsible for supporting machine weight, transmitting tractive force to the ground, and ensuring proper track alignment during operation. Single and double flange rollers support the track chain and provide lateral stability, while carrier rollers guide and support the upper track section. The drive rim transfers torque to the track chain, and the track chain carries the machine load while enabling continuous travel movement. The guide wheel unit plays a key role in track tensioning and alignment, the push frame transfers blade forces to the main frame, and the final drive delivers high torque to the undercarriage system. Correct component selection in terms of dimensions, material quality, and operating tolerances is essential for long service life, reduced wear, and reliable field performance.
